Carolyn and Kevin Accola is her parents, her mother was an environmental engineer before becoming a homemaker and her father was cardiothoracic surgeon. She has one younger brother. She is singer and songwriter also and well known for her starring role as Caroline Forbes on The CW series, The Vampire Diaries.
